Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
